SRPMIC Years of Service Awards

gallery-01The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community and the Human Resources team hosted the annual Service Awards Recognition Luncheon at the Salt River Community Building on January 8. The luncheon is held at the beginning of every year and acknowledges employees’ contributions to their individual departments and to the Community at large.



Retirement Party

gallery-02On January 4 at the Salt River Community Building, a luncheon and recognition ceremony were held to honor Gene Andreas and David Mowry upon their retirement from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. Mowry served as assistant public works director of facility management for SRPMIC for 12 years. Andreas also retired as the assistant public works director of operations after serving the Community for 25 years. Together, these men have a combined 37 years of service and dedication.

DJ Logan “Element” Howard Announces Retirement

gallery-03As 2012 came to an end, people announced their 2013 resolutions on social-media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. But just as many people were planning for things they could do in 2013, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community member and longtime hip-hop DJ Logan “Element” Howard announced that he would be retiring from the DJ game.

Jingle Ball Jam Tournament

gallery-04The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Recreation Department hosted the annual Jingle Jam Basketball Tournament on January 5 in the Salt River Gymnasium. Community members were invited to cheer on their respective teams. The players participated in one of three divisions: boys ages 13–15, boys ages 8–12, and girls ages 8–12.
