SRPMIC Childrens Foundation Golf Classic

The ninth annual Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Children’s Foundation Golf Classic took place on December 3 at Talking Stick Golf Club. Approximately 200 players took to the golf course to tee off and raise money that benefits Community youth and youth programs.

 

Siblings Excel in Newfound Talents

Last May, Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community parents Benjalina and Juan Smith, Sr. decided they wanted their son Juan Smith, Jr., 7, to try out Pop Warner football, so they signed him up. While registering Juan, they saw the perfect opportunity to also sign up their three girls, Kassandra Montano-Smith, 10; Victoria Smith, 9; and Ariana Smith, 6, for cheerleading with the same organization, Superstition Pop Warner Football and Cheer.

 

Marcos de Niza Basketball Player Sean Wood Gives 100 Percent Effort

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community member and Tempe Marcos de Niza High School sophomore Sean Wood has been progressing both in his academics and on the court. Wood is on the Marcos de Niza Padres varsity basketball team.

 

Salt River High School Boys Varsity Basketball Team Wins at Home against Superior
