Youth Co-Ed Softball Tournament A Big Hit in Lehi

The Salt River Recreation Department Youth Co-ed Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament took place June 25 at the Lehi Ballfield.

The Salt River Fat Dawg’s Ballerz took on Havoc in the 13- to 17-year-old division for the championship game. Fat Dawg’s Ballerz were leading the game until the top of the sixth inning, when Havoc broke through at the plate, scoring five runs to get ahead 14-13.

In the eight- to 12-year-old division, the Fat Dawg’s Ballerz played against Ak-Chin in the championship game. Fat Dawg’s Ballerz played solid defense and were able to hit the balls into gaps to score several runs.

Third place – Beeliners
Fourth place – Sidewinders
