The Majestics, one of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s chair volleyball teams, recently played in and won the championship at the Senior Olympics of the Quechan Tribe, which took place May 19-20 in Yuma.

 

Round House Cafe Hosts Free-Throw Contest

The Round House Café hosted an NBA Finals Free-Throw Contest at Friendship Park Basketball Court on June 9. The competition was open for two hours during lunch. Participants were given one minute to shoot as many free throws as possible for a chance to win prizes.

 

Aquatics Program Available to Community Members and Employees

The aquatics program on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community has been in place for the past 12 years, offering Community members the chance to engage in water-based exercise. Currently, Jason Seepie and Roberta Johnston are teaching the aquatics program.
