Salt River Fields Getting Closer to Opening Day

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick is in the final phase of construction, with a completion date of January 28. During February, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies will move to their new home in preparation for the first spring training home game between the teams on February 26.

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community member Devanie Duwyenie, a junior at Mountain View High School, is currently taking an advanced-placement class, Comparative Government/ Model United Nations. AP Comparative Government is classified as a scholastic club, but Duwyenie is taking it as a class along with several of her classmates.

Food Bank Offers A Hand Up To Community Members While Educating All

The Community food bank is ready to offer members of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community a hand up. SRPMIC Food Program Coordinator Brandon Boatman said the assistance provided to those in need is a great resource, with more than 400 families participating in the program from both Salt River and Lehi.
