Ba’ag Ceksan (Eagle Mark) Courtyard by Marriott Breaks Ground

The Ba’ag Ceksan (Eagle Mark) Salt River Scottsdale 101 Courtyard by Marriott broke ground on January 24. The four-story, 156-room hotel is located off the Loop 101 Corridor to appeal to business, leisure and group travelers. It will earn LEED certification through its design and construction for energy sustainability and is scheduled to open in February 2012.

16th Annual Indian Nations and Tribes Legislative Day at the State Capitol

January 18 marked the day for the 16th Annual Indian Nations and Tribes Legislative Day at the Arizona State Capitol. Invitations for this event are extended to the Arizona governor, each member of the Arizona State Legislature, and other elected officials to pay tribute to the history and culture of the American Indian peoples and their contributions to the prosperity and cultural diversity in the United States.
