Wellness Expo Educates Community Families on the Importance of a Healthy Lifestyle

The Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community is trying its best to ensure the health and well-being of its Community members and employees. As part of this effort, the SRPMIC Tribal Council implemented the Community Wellness Program to jump-start health awareness. The goal of the program is to help Community members and employees become more aware of their health to ensure they live long and healthy lives, spiritually and physically.

 

Voices in the Maze Hopes to Help Struggling Youth

A diverse group of individuals, called Voices in the Maze, is looking for ways to help the struggling youth of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The group was formed by four individuals, and now it has grown to 15 members.

 

Families Working Towards a Healthier Way of Life

One hundred and thirty-five Community members registered for the Families Working Toward a Healthier Way of Life conference held at the Community building on July 20. The workshop was intended to inform the Community on healthier ways to live with several speakers and presentations given throughout the seven hour conference.
