Salt River Fields on Track for Completion in 126 Days

Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community members got another glimpse of Salt River Fields at Talking Stick on the evening of September 14.
Seniors of the Community were the first to tour the facility, followed by Community members who rode on trolleys that toured the property. Everyone was shown the future main entrance as they rode down a new road that completely encircles the facility. About four trips were made with the trolleys to and from the facility.

Piipaash Pottery for the Lehi Seniors

On some days the seniors in Lehi are short of activities, but from August 21 to 31 the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community’s Lehi seniors got some one-on-one pottery-making time in a pot-making class led by Piipaash pottery maker Ron Carlos.

 

Miss Indian Arizona Grateful for Family and Community Support

The reigning Miss Indian Arizona, Daryl Lynn Jay, an enrolled member of the Gila River Indian Community (GRIC), is finishing the last month of her term. Recently she took a few minutes out of her busy schedule to review her year as Miss Indian Arizona.

 

Salt River Disability Conference Brings Hope to People with Disabilities

Salt River Indian Community’s Victory Acres II Club House and Youth Services co-hosted the Salt River Disabilities Conference August 25. Exhibitor booths were set up in the Community Building with information on programs for people with physical disabilities, mental, hearing or eyesight disabilities and health services programs on health care or for seniors.
