From the Traffic Enforcement Bureau – September 2010 Update

Over the Labor Day holiday (August 25 – September 9) the Salt River Police Department Traffic Enforcement Bureau (TEB) conducted the East Valley Holiday DUI Task Force within the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The goals were to enforce tribal and state traffic laws, specifically focused on impaired drivers, and to educate drivers to increase roadway safety within the Community and to reduce collisions, especially serious injury and fatal collisions.

School Resource Officer Program
The 2010–2011 school year is now in full gear. Salt River High School/Junior High will be hosting football and volleyball games this fall. We encourage you to come out and support our youth and show your Salt River spirit. Salt River High School and Salt River Elementary School have hosted open houses and will periodically host other school-sponsored events.
