The Salt River Woodstock tee-ball team was privileged to win the championship title in the Tee-Ball Tournament, which is part of the 48th Annual Mul-Chu-Tha Fair and Rodeo. The Tee-Ball Tournament was held at the Gila River District No. 4 ball fields in Santan, March 4–6.

On March 4, Woodstock played the Blackwater Quails and lost 15-16, which sent them to the loser’s bracket. On the evening of March 5, the team played against the Lil’ Braves from Sacaton and won. On March 6, Woodstock played the Salt River Cardinals and beat them, which set them against the Blackwater Quails again—but this time the result was different: Salt River won the game. After that win, Woodstock went to the championship playoff against the undefeated Gila River Bears. Woodstock beat the Bears, but had to play them a second time for the championship because that was their first loss.
