Recreation’s Men’s Basketball League

Over the last two months, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Recreation Department held its annual men’s basketball league. Games took place at the Pi-Copa Gym in Salt River and at the Lehi Gym. The Recreation Department separated the teams into two divisions, Gold and Black, due to the number of teams in the league.


The top teams in the Gold Division are the Rez Runners, Flight, Lehi and Outlaws, and the top teams in the Black Division are the Warriors, Beeliners, Ruff Ryders and Jr’s “Black Ice,” in that particular order. This year there were 290 basketball players in the men’s league.
