Au-Authm Action News

A nomination meeting was held at the Community Building on Monday, February 8 for candidates to run for the vacant seat on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Tribal Council for District I (Salt River). About 55 Community members attended. Some were there to nominate people they felt would be good candidates for the position, while others came to show their support.
The vacancy is due to a recent decision by Council to remove Anthony Collins, Sr. from office. The person elected will serve out the remainder of Collins’ term, until 2012.
