Tri-Athletes of the Future

Children ages 8 to 18 competed in the fifth annual Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community Youth Triathlon, held on November 13 at the Salt River Community Building. Twenty-two children competed in the event, which took place a week prior to the actual Ford Ironman Arizona triathlon that comes through the Community.

 

Salt River Fields at Talking Stick Completes Final Sod Installation

With the Major League Baseball awards being handed out, baseball is definitely in the air. Salt River Fields at Talking Stick, in partnership with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies played host to media members in order to photograph the final sod installation of the main stadium field on November 19.

 

Salt River Co-Ed Flag Football League Remains Strong in Its Third Year

The Salt River Co-Ed Flag Football League began the current season on November 3 at the Recreation Department football field. With seven games already executed, playoffs are set to begin on December 6 at 7 p.m. and wrap up at 9 p.m. on December 8 with the championship game.
