Tai Chi For Fall Prevention

SRPMIC Simplified Tai Chi provides a safe, controlled environment where participants, ages 55 years and older, can learn the art of Tai Chi to help with Fall Prevention. With its gentle movements and adaptable poses, Tai Chi can address fall risk factors and help you gain the physical functionality needed to:

  • Remain independent
  • Maintain healthy balance
  • Increase strength/flexibility
  • Help with gait/mobility concerns
  • Increase confidence
  • Decrease the risk of injury

This class also offers a physical assessment from a Licensed Physical Therapist. Here you can get an understanding concerning your risk for a fall and ask questions about your balance and strength.

Class Starts: January 16th, 2018

Time: 1:15 pm - 2:15 pm / Tuesday and Thursday

Location: SRPMIC Fitness Center Aerobics Room

Duration: 10 Weeks
