The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day functions of Accounts Payable department. Maintains integrity of accounting information and systems, in accordance with standards and rules under GAAP, as well as other regulating bodies, also relating to internal controls including safe-guarding of department assets, reliability of department financial information, and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures. May evaluate the effects of changes in accounting regulations on Company's financial statements, reports, processes and accounting controls. Executes accounting policy and procedures and participates in internal and external audits. This position also requires the establishment of key performance indicators, developing means to measure and report to management in an agreed upon time frame. Supervise and lead employees for time and attendance and other employee matters. Prior Oracle Accounts Payable experiences a plus. Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following: * Manages and coordinates activities required to ensure an accurate accounts payable system/function within the organization's established policies * Develops and recommends policy and procedure to govern the payment of company bills to the advantage of the organization * Maintains ongoing and effective communications with senior management and outside auditors * Research, analyze and resolve complex payment and vendor issues * Train and cross train current staff (onshore and offshore) on the accounting processes within AP and other departments as necessary. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of 5+ years of Accounts Payable management experience in automated accounting environment. * CPA license preferred, MBA preferred. * BA degree in Accounting or Finance required. * Experience with a large international organization including: multi-divisions, business units, etc. * MS Office, Excel Advanced level required, Oracle a plus. * Ability to manage dual projects and people. * Proficient understanding of internal controls related to Accounts Payable and General Ledger Accounting. * Excellent problem resolution and decision making skills. * Capable of meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment. * Excellent oral and written communication skills.
